TN Students Federation Rally after their 15 days of State-Wide Eelam Tamils Awareness Campaign

Chennai - The Tamil Nadu Students Federation (TNSF), under the leadership of the Medical Dr. Elilan, conducted an awareness campaign among the Tamil Nadu masses by going to many villages, towns and cities Tamil Nadu state wide regarding the plights of Eelam Tamils and their long struggle for the equality and freedom in Sri Lanka since November 18 to December 1.

At the conclusion of the awareness campaign, huge rally was organized by the Tamil Nadu students Federation in Kovai, Sithaputhoor, Menan Road under the leadership of the TNFS, N. Paneerslevam. Many known leaders spoke at the event in support of Eelam Tamils and their struggle for freedom including, Nangavalli Anpu, Senthil, Anpu Thanasekaran, Periyar Dravida Kalakam, Kovai. K. Ramakirishanan, and Kolathur. S. Mani.

PDK, Kovai. K. Ramakrishanan strogly condemned the genocides of Tamils in Sri Lanka by the Singhalese; he also condemned the Central government of India for aiding and abating the killing of Tamils in Eelam by providing the chauvinist Sri Lankan government with military equipments, radars, and military personals. He also said, Sri Lanka uses the Indian assistances to kill Eelam Tamils as well as the Tamil Nadu fishermen. He said, the Center using our Tax money to help the Sri Lankan government to kill our brethrens in Eelam and our fishermen and this cannot be accepted.

PDK is the first party to go to Delhi and protested killings of Eelam Tamils and Tamil Nadu Congress Party (TNC) is under the name of they are against the LTTE, trying to prevent Thol. Thirumavalan going to Delhi with the Kalaingar. Karunanidhi to meet with the Indian Prime Minister on December 4^th  to force Center to do everything possible to stop the war against Eelam Tamils and force a meaningful solution. He challenged the TNC to put the opposition to the LTTE in the election manifesto.

PDK leader Kolathur S. Mani when he was speaking he said, Sri Lanka always partner with China and Pakistan to go against the Indian interests and historically these behaviours of Sri Lanka were proven. Eelam Tamils are the real friends of India and Indian security will not be threatened by the Eelam Tamils. LTTE’ air force never will be a threat to India.

December 4^th Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Kalaignar. M. Karunanidhi leading all party leaders to meet with Indian PM to urge Center to stop the war in Sri Lanka. If Center refused to respect the Tamil Nadu wishes PDK will start their next course of action against the TNC ministers protesting with black flags.

Dr. Elilan when he was speaking at the event he shared his experiences of last fifteen days of awareness campaign and how he was touched by the Tamil Nadu people’s supports for their brethrens in Eelam and their struggle. He said last seventeen years we did not do enough to bring the plights of Eelam Tamils to the attention of Tamil Nadu masses, but from now on we will be in the forefront along with PDK and bring the plights of long sufferings of Eelam Tamils to Tamil Nadu masses.

Meanwhile, well known Tamil Nadu film director Manivannan who came to Kovai to take part in the funeral of his sister also took part in the event and spoke in support of Eelam Tamils. He said when we speak about the support of Eelam Tamils, Tamil Nadu Congress and their leaders always deviate from the real facts, and scare us with sovereignty of Sri Lanka. But, I categorically says, the only workable solution the Eelam Tamils, free “Tamil Eelam” Eelam Tamils will achieve the free Tamil Eelam soon.

Finally, Unarchy Kavingan Kasi Annanthan spoke at the event explained to the people the history of Eelam struggle and their sufferings for the past sixty years. He said, Eelam Tamils and LTTE, both consider India as a friendly nation. They strongly believe India will come to their aid soon putting all the past behind and support the free Tamil Eelam. Tamils never considered Pakistan or China as their friends even though India unfortunately helping Sri Lanka at this point and times, Tamils still hope and pray India will change their policy towards Eelam Tamils soon and help them to achieve their freedom. Large crowd attended the event.

The Tamil Nadu Students Federation (TNSF), last fifteen days they scarified their personal times for the Eelam Tamils and traveled all over the Tamil Nadu state and spoke with thousands of people and conducted the Eelam Tamils awareness campaign. They have recorded over 5000 people’s statement and they are planning to document the statement and send them to leaders of TN State and Center. They strongly believe that, these documents will bring the desired changes in TN and Center soon in support of Eelam Tamils and help them to achieve peace and freedom.
