(Opinion)The objective has not changed for the Sri Lanka's Sinhala Governments!

This week witnessed the public slaying of the values of governance in Sri Lanka, otherwise known as the pillars of democracy to many of us. Muralithran Vinayagamoorthy better known as the one who spent 9 months in a UK jail for traveling in a forged passport, has been appointed as a Member of the Sri Lankan Sinhala Parliament, under the ticket of the same ruling party which is spearheading the genocidal war on the Tamil East & North.

The amnesty International called the act as the ‘travesty of Justice’. This is the same person who has been accused by local and International humanitarian organizations, for committing crimes against humanity. His organization TMVP continues to engage in abductions, kidnappings, killings and forcible recruitment of children.

The oath ceremony at the parliament has been boycotted by all other political parties as a show of protest for allowing this flagrant war criminal and violator of human rights into the parliament.  The government of UK kicked back this violator after his time in jail, knowing very well that the hands of the very Sri Lankan government are all over the crimes.

It simply shows the extent of the mockery, the government in Sri Lanka has become, whereby a criminal against humanity can be rewarded with an appointed post of a government MP.

The successive Sinhala governments have effectively executed this ploy for the last 50 years, in order to suppress and assimilate the Tamil population of the Island. Whenever the genuine grievances started to echo in a unified voice, the Sinhalese have used the colonial ‘Divide & Conquer’ strategy by throwing bones on the floor. Many stray street farers in the past have become the executioners of their masters, simply for the bare bones thrown under the table.

Long before the current saga, many so called ‘educated’ willies have been effectively used to cull the basic fundamental demands of the Tamil people. The word 'Development' has been blinked in block letters without fail in every such attempt to con the public. Other than throwing a few clerical posts and red brick buildings, their goal is the same then and now.

Like the Hitler’s agenda in creating a pure Aryan race, the Sinhalese used this as a cover in making the 'Sinhala Buddhists' as the legitimate owners of the entire Island, some thing that they believed for centuries. In the name of ‘development’ notably the traditional homeland of the Tamils in the East has been colonized by the Sinhalese and continues to take place at alarming levels.

The lands of the Tamils are being continuously robbed and abrogated and their percentage has been slashed into almost half through this cleverly executed 'Development' ploy with the help of the stooges who have been bought up with the ‘MP’ posts, for the last 50 years.

The appointment of criminal elements by the government, which has promised the Sinhalese to capture the entire Tamil homeland, is not surprising. The successive Sinhalese governments have continuously done it, whether it’s through ordinary drop-outs or through dark-suit lawyers.

Their 'Mahavamsa mindset' of considering the Tamils as enemies and second class citizens is nothing but evil. They can buy a few turncoats as in the past but the Tamils very well know without any iota of doubt that their deliverance could only be arrived at by standing together and adding strength to their protectors.
