LTTE Attack kills 1 STF & Injures 1 in Eastern Sri Lanka

Batticaola: One Sri Lankan Special Task Forces (STF) troopers was killed and 1 more STF troopers were injured in an attack by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) carried against the STF in Omadiyamadu, Batticaloa.

Meanwhile, a group of STF shot dead another colleague from another STF group in Kockadicholai, Batticaloa.

Within past few Months at least hundreds of Sri Lankan troopers were killed in Batticalloa and Amparai area in the LTTE ambushes, according to the sources there as the LTTE stepped up the attacks on the SF forces in the eastern Sri Lanka and killed and injured scores of SF troopers.
