Carrot Juice Benefits: A Great Addition to Your Diet

After a full day of work (and a family to take care of at home), I never have time to think of what I ate the whole day–let alone what I ate during the week. Remember, taking care of your own health is just as important as taking care of your family’s.
There are some easy ways to fulfill your daily dietary needs. Carrot juice is a great supplement for your vitamin A intake, and offers other great Carrot Juice benefits as well. I discuss the benefits below and give you some ideas to incorporate carrot juice into your diet!
Vitamin A
Vitamin A deficiency is uncommon in developed countries, but a large number of American citizens do get less than a desirable amount of vitamin A. Expectant mothers often show deficiencies, and foods/supplements containing this vitamin are essential for the baby. Orange-colored foods, such as cantaloupe, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins, are high in B-carotene, a source of vitamin A. Carrot juice, however, is an easy addition to your diet.
Vitamin C
Carrot juice is also a great source of vitamin C, and it also serves as an antioxidant. You need enough vitamin C to keep your skin and bones healthy! If you add some other fruits to your daily drink or mixture, such as raspberries or blackberries, you could fulfill your Vitamin C needs for the day!
Potassium
Potassium deficiency is common in the US. Fortunately, drinking carrot juice on a daily basis can help you obtain 10 % of your potassium needs on a daily basis. Eat a banana for lunch, and take a multi-vitamin supplement, and you will be obtaining your potassium needs for the day! You need those nutrients to keep your body’s chemicals and electrolytes processing and in equilibrium with one another.
How to Incorporate Carrot Juice Into Your Diet.
Try one of these ideas once a day or every day to keep your carrot juice intake varied and exciting!
- Add it to your breakfast (have a 8 oz carrot juice drink with your cereal).
- Have a carrot juice cocktail! Add some pepper, vodka, and olives for a fun cocktail with your friends.
- Use it as a base for your soup! Try going carrot instead of tomato every once in a while!
